Soul-Rebel Marley Releases Debut Single ‘Loving Jah’
A Musical Legacy
Soul-Rebel Marley is stepping into the musical spotlight with his debut single, “Loving Jah.” As the grandson of reggae legend Bob Marley, he carries a rich family legacy woven into the fabric of his music. While Marley has primarily been known for his production work, he is now broadening his artistic horizons.
Inspiration Behind ‘Loving Jah’
In a recent interview with Deco Drive, Soul-Rebel shared insights into his artistic journey and the creation of his new track:
“Yes, it’s my first single, lovin’ jah. Yeah, produced by me as well. Production is where I started really but now I’m stepping forward into new journey.”
Family plays a crucial role in Marley’s music. His mother, Cedella Marley, significantly influenced the song, initially providing a rendition of Bob Marley’s “We’ll Be Forever Loving Jah” that helped shape the final version.
“My mom played a big part as well cause at first I didn’t have the sample of my grandfather; it was my mom singing,” said Soul-Rebel.
Brotherly Support
Skip Marley, Soul-Rebel’s older brother, is another source of inspiration. His recent tour motivated Soul-Rebel to pursue his music more seriously.
“Yeah, that inspired the whole thing cause my brother Skip, he was going on tour last summer and like just everything going on I was like just keep going,” he explained.
Both brothers are collaborating on future projects that promise to explore a range of themes from love to global consciousness.
“Me and Skip, we have new music on the way. We have love songs for the girls, for the ladies; we have very conscious songs as well,” added Soul-Rebel.
Going Global
Soul-Rebel Marley expresses his intent to connect with audiences worldwide, emphasizing the importance of his music reaching a broad audience:
“Deco Drive, we have to go worldwide. For sure. We’re doing our rounds, you know what I mean, making sure loving Jah can reach as far as it can,” he stated.
