A 55-year-old man, Timothy Mahoney from Montgomery, New York, was taken into custody on U.S. 1 in the Florida Keys following numerous reports of reckless driving. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) responded to these alarming 911 calls around 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
Details of the Incident
Witnesses described Mahoney’s driving as erratic, with one caller stating that he had collided with several traffic cones near Mile Marker 108. Authorities found Mahoney’s vehicle stopped at that location.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered Mahoney outside his truck, notably wearing only a construction hard hat and appearing to dance to music while unclothed. Reports indicate that he was also attempting to smoke marijuana from a pipe during the detention process.
