Tiffany Nuñez, the cat’s owner, reported that the attack occurred while she was at work. According to her, her cat was peacefully sleeping in its outdoor house when the neighbor approached. “My cat was just sleeping in her little house. He came over and knocked on it and she woke up and ran out, and he tried to hit her,” Nuñez described.

The video footage shows the man walking up to the small structure where the cat was resting. He is seen tapping it with what seems to be a box cutter. When the cat emerged, he struck at it with the object, causing the frightened animal to flee.

There’s like a million strays in this area and he could not only hurt a stray animal, a cat, a raccoon, a dog, he could also hurt a person if he was willing to do that,” she said.
