FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) – Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a woman on Interstate 95 in Fort Lauderdale on New Year’s Eve.
Florida Highway Patrol and Fort Lauderdale Fire and Rescue responded to the crash scene along the northbound lanes just south of Sunrise Boulevard on Tuesday around 6:15 p.m.
Authorities say a 28-year-old woman was walking on the highway when an SUV struck her.
Investigators say the victim suddenly left the shoulder lane and the driver accidentally hit the vehicle.
