ORLANDO (WESH) – A grieving family is speaking out after a man was killed in a road rage shooting in Orlando earlier this week. The man was scheduled to move to be closer to loved ones in Illinois just days ago.

Daniela Tsvetkova said her brother Mikhail was planning to move within 12 days to be with his family.
“We were waiting for him, but we will never see him again,” said Tsvetkova. “It completely kills my soul.”
Orlando police confirmed that Mikhail was shot and killed on Dec. 2 after an altercation with another driver. Witnesses said the confrontation was short and unprovoked.
“He got out of the car and said, ‘Hey, look out for yourself, okay? You’re getting too close to my car.’ He wasn’t screaming or anything,” said witness Jeremy Bice. Ta. “Then she just started screaming…and she shot him.”
Tsvetkova, who was at work when she heard the tragic news from one of her brother’s friends, initially thought it was a hoax.
“At first I thought it was some kind of scam,” she said.
The family now anxiously awaits a decision from authorities on whether charges will be filed or whether Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law applies.
“I hope this person who took our lives so quickly is brought to justice,” Tsvetkova said. “I want to have hope in the justice system and I look forward to seeing how this plays out.”
Orlando police have not yet announced whether charges will be filed.
