Two Delray Beach Firefighters And Two Others Placed On Leave

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) – Days after two Delray Beach firefighters and two others drove a firetruck into an incoming Brightline railroad track, causing an accident, authorities said.

Delray Beach Fire Rescue Chief Ronald Martin announced Friday that Deputy Chief Kevin Green, Chief Todd Lynch and two others have been placed on paid administrative leave as the investigation into the crash continues.

The accident occurred last Saturday in Delray Beach after firefighters bypassed a railroad crossing arm while a freight train was passing and came to rest on the tracks.

Three firefighters and 12 passengers were injured in the accident.
