Alpha Kappa Alpha Celebrates 85 Years of Community Leadership
An Evening of Recognition
This past weekend, the Gamma Zeta Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. recognized notable community leaders during a grand event at Jungle Island, Miami. The celebration attracted over 700 attendees, reflecting the chapter’s strong ties to the community.
Honoring Trailblazers
Among the honorees were:
- Bea Hines: The first Black woman journalist at The Miami Herald, recognized for her pioneering contributions to journalism.
- Nat Moore: A former player for the Miami Dolphins, celebrated for his achievements both on and off the field.
