MIRAMAR, Fla. (WSVN) – A large police presence was observed outside an IHOP in Miramar as officers investigated reports of three shootings.
Police told 7News they responded to multiple 911 calls about a shooting at the IHOP at 11032 Miramar Parkway just after 1 a.m. Wednesday.
“Taken at Miramar Parkway and Red Road. Two calls received. The caller advised that someone had been shot (…) about five or six shots. , he advised that he had (…),” a dispatcher said over the Broadcastify police scanner. “And then you see another 10 to 20 at IHOP, 11302 Miramar Parkway. We were advised that the woman was outside and probably had about 10 gunshot wounds (…).”
According to police, there were three victims. They were all taken to Memorial Regional Hospital.
Initial reports to police said some of the victims had suffered trauma.
“There are people on the floor. Lots of blood. We advise that there are one or two injured people outside as well. We have one victim who was shot in the leg. “There are two black women who were shot, one in the head and one in the torso,” a dispatcher said over the Broadcastify police scanner.
Police were still at the scene searching for clues several hours later.
Police towed both cars, but the sides of the cars were riddled with bullets and blood.
The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.
