MIAMI (AP) — Damian Lillard had 37 points and 12 assists and the Milwaukee Bucks squandered a 22-point second-half lead to defeat the Miami Heat 106-103 in NBA Cup action Tuesday night. Broke it.

Brook Lopez scored 13 points and Bobby Portis scored 11 points for the Bucks, who won five straight and returned to the .500 mark for the first time since losing 1-1 with a record of 9-9.

The Bucks (3 wins and 0 losses in cup games) are also half a game ahead of Detroit (2 wins and 0 losses) in the East Group B standings.

Jimmy Butler scored 23 points for Miami, followed by Tyler Herro with 18 points, Terry Rozier with 17 points and Bam Adebayo with 16 points. Butler’s layup tied the game at 96-96, and the Heat got within one point three times, but never took the lead.

The Heat were outscored 60-30 on 3-pointers, but fell to 1-2 in cup play.

The Bucks played without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was injured before the game due to swelling in his left knee.

Bucks: Lillard scored 35 points and had at least 10 assists for the 30th time, tying him with Allen Iverson for ninth place in NBA regular season history. Oscar Robertson holds the record with 121.
