MELBOURNE, Fla. (WSVN) — A small plane landed safely in the parking lot of a Melbourne flea market.
FAA officials said the two pilots on board had reported engine trouble shortly before returning to Melbourne Zeroland International Airport at the time.
During a soft landing, they fell onto power lines.
“The loud crackling was worse than most hurricanes I’ve ever seen. It was just insane, absolutely wild,” said Sean Frame, who lives near the crash site. Ta.
Both pilots ejected from the plane before authorities arrived.
One of them suffered minor injuries.
This accident is still under investigation.
