HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) – Celebrations in South Florida took place this weekend.
The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Black Tie Ball was held in Hollywood on Saturday night.
More than 1,000 guests enjoyed a “Lion King”-themed evening, including performances by members of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical.
7’s Alex Miranda emceed the event, which kicked off the week for the annual Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade.
“This is the best tradition of Hard Rock and community engagement,” said Susan Leneisen, vice president of community affairs and special events for Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. “It embraces everyone. It’s community, it’s philanthropy, it’s family, it’s everyone coming together to celebrate the joy of the season.”
“This is a truly special event given our 53 years of creating something both ever-changing and yet time-honored,” said Lisa Scott Founds, president and CEO of Winterfest Inc. ” he said.
More than 1 million people are expected to flock to the banks of the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale this Saturday to see more than 100 decorated boats in what has been dubbed “H2O’s biggest show in history.” I am.
