MIAMI-DADE, Southwest Fla. (WSVN) – It’s been a very special new year for a South Florida woman who turned 100 years old.
Manuela Herrera spent the first day of 2025 celebrating this milestone.
On Wednesday, she was joined by her three children, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren at her home in southwest Miami-Dade.
“This is a very special day because all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are here to celebrate her,” said her daughter Doris Herrera.
Manuela arrived in the United States from Cuba in 1969.
She said her greatest treasure in life was her marriage to her late husband and the wonderful family she built.
