His search began online, with Jonathan scouring sites like Facebook Marketplace. He encountered an ad for a truck in Miami, which he promptly reported to BSO. However, the ad was removed before any action could be taken.

Weeks later, a breakthrough arrived when Jonathan received a notification indicating that 800 miles had been added to his truck’s odometer, despite the vehicle’s GPS being disabled.

Finding a Lead

Jonathan’s determination led him to discover an ad for a Ram TRX that matched his vehicle’s description, posted by a seller located outside Nashville, Tennessee. The asking price? $80,000. Intrigued by the details and images in the ad, Jonathan meticulously researched the area using Google Maps.

“So I spent nine hours on Google Maps just looking for that specific house,” he shared.

Reclaiming His Property

After pinpointing the exact location of the house depicted in the ad, Jonathan contacted the local sheriff’s office in Tennessee. Following his lead, deputies successfully located his truck.

“I got my [expletive] truck back!” he exclaimed, celebrating the reunion with his prized possession.

A New Mission

While his mission to recover his truck concluded successfully, Jonathan’s journey did not stop there. His experience has ignited a passion for helping others reclaim their stolen vehicles. He has since assisted a friend in recovering a car located in Texas.
