Robbery in Pembroke Pines Triggers Gunfire Incident in Hollywood

Incident Overview
In a concerning series of events, gunfire erupted in a Hollywood neighborhood following a reported robbery that occurred in Pembroke Pines. The Pembroke Pines Police Department reported that the incident took place on Tuesday at the Cortland apartments located along Southwest First Street, involving one male victim and multiple suspects.
Chase and Confrontation
After the robbery, the victim, driving a gray BMW sedan, pursued the suspects into the city of Hollywood. The pursuit culminated on Harding Street, around the 6400 block, where witnesses alleged that the suspects attempted to damage the victim’s vehicle by stabbing its tires. Shortly after, gunshots were fired at the victim before the suspects fled the scene.
Emergency Response
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene after receiving multiple 911 calls regarding the gunfire. A dispatcher relayed, “Armed robbery. Advise [victim] stating he was robbed and they started shooting at 6481 Harding Street.” The report indicated a black Jeep Compass as being involved but provided no specific details about the suspects’ direction of travel.
Investigation Status
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the gunfire. Hollywood Police confirmed their involvement in responding to the shots fired incident, and initial reports from 7News showed a dark-colored SUV on Harding Street that appeared to have been struck by a bullet.
Detectives are currently investigating the incident and are searching for at least four male suspects and one female suspect, noting that the victim was already acquainted with one of the individuals involved. At this stage, police have not disclosed further information as the investigation continues.
