FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) – United Way of Fort Lauderdale, in collaboration with the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, has released the “State of Florida Girls” report.
The report is the first of its kind to analyze the needs and challenges faced by young women in the region, focusing on physical health, academic performance, and emotional and social well-being. It is something.
Additionally, we aim to identify how Girl Scouts can adjust their programs to address issues and challenges.
“Mental health issues. I’m juggling a lot of things: school, relationships, going to college. It’s the future,” said Carina Torres, Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida ambassador. “It’s very important to me that these issues are represented, right? And they’re in this report.”
The report highlighted that more than half of girls live in economically disadvantaged households, promoting equity and access.
