Incident Overview

A small aircraft crashed near Boca Raton on Friday morning, resulting in the loss of three lives, including 17-year-old Brooke Stark. The flight had taken off from Boca Raton Airport and was en route to Tallahassee.

The tragedy has deeply affected her peers at Atlantic High School in Delray Beach. In a heartfelt tribute, students gathered at the crash site along Military Trail, close to the Glades Road overpass, to honor Brooke’s memory.

“All of Atlantic is affected. Especially today at school. We were all in the media center mourning her loss,” one student expressed. “We were all crying, trying to support each other like what Brooke would want.”

During this somber gathering, classmates placed flowers and candy at the site, demonstrating their support and compassion for one another.

Investigation Underway

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. This ongoing inquiry aims to uncover the circumstances leading to this devastating incident.
