Florida Pizza Delivery Man Charged With Stabbing Pregnant Woman To

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) – A central Florida pizza delivery man has been charged with breaking into a motel room with an accomplice and stabbing a pregnant woman after an argument over tips, authorities said.

Brianna Alvero is accused of stabbing a woman Sunday in a Kissimmee, Fla., motel room shortly after delivering her a pizza, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said.

The woman gave Albero $50 for a $33.10 bill and expected the change back. When Alvero tried to leave, the woman asked for her money back, but the pizza delivery man told her there was no change in policy, according to the arrest report.

The woman began searching for small bills in two wallets in the motel room and in her car while Alvero watched. The report said Albelo received a small dollar bill from her boyfriend, who was staying at the hotel with their 5-year-old daughter, and Albelo’s tip ended up being $2.

Albero “rolled his eyes and walked away without saying anything,” the report states.

Some time later, the woman, her boyfriend, and her daughter were asleep when they heard a knock on the motel room door. When the women opened the door, a woman, identified by authorities as Albero, and a masked armed man burst into the room. The armed man ordered the boyfriend to go to the bathroom. After rummaging through the women’s belongings in the motel room, Albero stabbed the women 14 times with a pocket knife as they protected his daughter, according to the arrest report.

The woman had just discovered she was several weeks pregnant, according to the arrest report. She was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery for a ruptured lung.

Alvero is charged with attempted murder, burglary with a firearm, kidnapping and aggravated assault with a weapon. Online court records showed she had no representative. Ahead of Thursday’s first court hearing, she said in court papers that she asked to be represented by an attorney because she could not afford one.

Authorities had not released the male suspect as of Thursday.
