Deco Alum Michelle Buteau Talks About Hosting The Billboard Music

A star-studded performance is scheduled for Thursday night’s Billboard Music Awards. Tyla, Teddy Swims and Jelly Roll are just a few of the artists scheduled to take the stage.

The night’s top nominees include Zach Bryan, Taylor Swift, and Morgan Wallen, but most special to us is our host, comedian, actress, and Deco alum Michelle Buteau !

Hello, Billboard Awards! The show gives props to the year’s greatest artists, albums, songs, producers, and songwriters.

Comedian and former Deco editor Michelle Buteau will host. She’s come a long way, baby, and we’re so proud of her.

Michelle Buteau: “As an only child who was home alone a lot, took a lot of videos of myself in the bathroom mirror, and always wanted to be a VJ, this was truly a dream come true.”

Being a host has its perks, as you get a front row seat to a performance-packed party.

Michelle Buteau: “To be in a room with fans like me and say, ‘Oh my God.’ Coldplay. Taylor Swift. Teddy Swims. Like ‘Tyra.’ Like, these are artists who have scored our lives over the past few years, so the fact that we can all be in the same room and celebrate them, I mean, it was – the excitement was , feels like New Year’s Eve, just like all the artists we saw perform. ”

Michelle is talking about artists like Shabouzi. Not only does he perform, he also holds the record for the longest number one song on the charts with “A Bar Song – Tipsy.” He nodded six times.

Shabouzi: “This is a testament to all the hard work and dedication and sacrifice that we’ve put in, just what we’ve done so far and just having a great team, great support, and great fans. .”

Tyra nods eight times and can’t contain her excitement. People even know who she is.

Tyra: “It was really gratifying to see my name and my song on there and see how far my music has spread.”

As for Teddy Swims, he has seven awards in his sights. He’s just happy to be sharing the spotlight with people he considers family.

Teddy Swims: “I think I have the best friends, the best team, the best love and support. What do you mean you don’t have anyone to share it with?”

The Billboard Music Awards will be held Thursday night at the 7th, right after Deco.
