305 Day takes place tomorrow, and Miami is set to celebrate with vibrant festivities that embrace the essence of the city. One of the highlights will be the return of the 12th annual 305 Day Block Party at the Wynwood Marketplace.
DJ Epps, a notable figure in the Miami music scene, describes the day as an occasion to honor the city’s rich culture, food, music, and dance. “305 days is when we celebrate Miami, man. The culture, the food, the music, the talent. Everybody’s dancing. Everybody’s having fun,” he said.
Guests can expect an array of activities, featuring local DJs and artists, along with diverse food offerings from over a dozen vendors. The event is free of charge, making it an accessible option for families looking for a fun day out.
Puttshack Miami: Mini-Golf with a Twist
Another exciting destination for 305 Day is Puttshack Miami. This innovative venue offers a unique take on mini-golf, combining entertainment with culinary delights.
Arturo Valdes from Puttshack has announced special offerings for the occasion, including local dishes such as Ahi Tostones, a mahi-mahi sandwich, and an upscale croquette dubbed the Miami tailpipes.
In addition to the food, guests can sip on local craft beer from Wynwood Brewery for only $3.05 during happy hour. Valdes adds, “For your first game at regular price, you get a second game for $3.05,” providing an enticing incentive to join in the fun.
The Art of Hip Hop Museum
To delve into the cultural history of hip hop, visitors can explore The Art of Hip Hop Museum in Wynwood. Allison Freidin announced that on March 5, all tickets will be priced at $3.05.
The museum hosts a treasure trove of artifacts from hip hop’s past, including memorabilia from influential artists like Uncle Luke, who played a pivotal role in putting Miami on the hip hop map. Freidin noted the excitement surrounding the event: “In here you are going to see an old album cover by Uncle Luke. We are really excited to welcome the public for only $3.05.”
