Broward Health Celebrates New Developments at Annual Fundraiser
During a vibrant evening at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, community leaders gathered for the 12th Annual Broward Health Ball on Saturday. The event aimed to raise funds supporting the Broward Health system, showcasing a commitment to enhancing local healthcare services.
A Night of Entertainment and Charity
The festivities began with a performance by Mai-Kai dancers, setting an energetic tone for the evening that included live entertainment and various auction items. Approximately 1,400 attendees participated, ensuring a successful turnout for the charitable cause.
Future Developments Enhance Community Health Services
Broward Health’s CEO, Shane Strum, highlighted exciting future projects that promise to strengthen the public health system. These developments include:
- Two new medical office buildings
- Three new freestanding emergency departments
Strum expressed confidence in the positive impact of these investments: “The money will be sewn right back into the community — we’re a community hospital — and everybody will receive better service,” he stated, adding that the funds will facilitate the acquisition of advanced equipment and aid in recruiting additional medical professionals.
