It’s Miami Art Week, so Betsy’s iconic orb is starting to glow.
Local artists dazzle with their unique creations of egg-shaped masterpieces.
It’s all part of the City of Miami’s 5th annual “No Vacancy” program.
And one creator takes over a mesmerizing projection made from ocean trash.
Dona Sub, Artist: “I started thinking about the orb as a water droplet. How do I activate this orb and make it have motion? It’s growing and it’s jumping between buildings. It’s like a living thing. It feels like an ecosystem.”
Art inspired by underwater life. This architectural wonder will be illuminated every night until December 12th.
Fun fact: Betsy Orb has its own Google address.
