SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A juvenile black bear attracted the attention of students and parents during school hours as it spent most of the day perched in a tree near a local middle school. The unusual sight was captured just moments before a live news report aired on Monday evening.

Parents received early notifications about the bear’s presence, yet many were astonished to learn just how close it had come to the school grounds. Kelly Mocorro, a local parent, expressed her surprise, noting that her dog, Milo, didn’t detect the bear’s scent.

“He’d go crazy!” said Mocorro regarding her dog’s potential reaction to the bear.
