FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) – A teenage “elf” teamed up with former Sen. Chris Smith to surprise children with presents and spread Christmas cheer across Fort Lauderdale.
Santa’s helpers went door to door, working hard to make sure every child had a present to open on Christmas morning.
They took their time making each present by hand.
And to grateful parents, it seemed like a Christmas miracle.
“I feel so good considering what I’m going through and what I’ve been through. I’m blessed,” attendee Betty Nesbitt said. It’s not what you do, it’s how you do it in the community, and this is what I think and my (…) moment. they are here. I’m surprised. ”
This children’s event is all part of the 12th annual Toy Giveaway and Adoption Program hosted by the All-Star Classic and Great Fort Lauderdale Chapter of Jack and Jill of America.
