Christmas may be tomorrow, but the holiday season isn’t over yet. New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are approaching and there will be lots of parties. So don’t panic if it’s fully booked and busy. Here are some tips to improve your makeup look.
Forget about Transformation Tuesday, because this holiday season can easily go from drab to wonderful.
Palmetto Bay’s Brushed Miami is the most wonderful time of the year. Makeup artist Yanet Lewis wants to help you shine inside and out.
Yanet Lewis: “The holidays definitely have a lot of sparkle. A lot of glitz and glamour.”
Dressing a doll takes time. But Yanet has a few tricks up his sleeve for those on the go.
Yanet Lewis: “Today I’m going to show you a holiday look that will take you from morning to night. We’ll start with something soft, with a little shimmer, and a light shine. Then we’ll transition it to evening events. ”
When it comes to daytime looks, less is more.
Yanet Lewis: “You want to keep it simple. I’d like to use a one-tone shadow and add a little bit of shimmer on top, maybe something like a light neutral sheen, to get you through the morning. Just let it shine. Highlight, shimmer.”
Having a simple base makes it easy to take it up a notch at night. It all starts with smoke out your eyes.
Yanet Lewis: “Try switching to a darker brown or black, blending it into the corners of your eyes. Add a darker blush and a red or burgundy lip to tie it all together. ”
Add a little liner and mascara and you’re ready to turn heads wherever you go.
