MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) – Some South Florida families got an early visit from Santa Claus.
The Miami Beach Veterans of Foreign Wars Association hosted this year’s “Marine Toys for Tots” giveaway Sunday afternoon.
The Old St. Nick arrived in style, sailing through Biscayne Bay via the U.S. Coast Guard.
Not to be outdone, the Grinch made a stylish appearance in the basket of a Miami Beach Fire Department truck.
“We are giving away over 1,500 toys donated by the Marine Corps. The Barracks Legends Foundation donated an additional 400 toys. The community has also been donating toys in the mailbox for two weeks and now We are giving away toys to over 100 families who came together,” said Miami Beach VFW Senior Vice President. Commander. Alex Kruger-Dobrota.
Children lined up for toys and took photos with both the big guy and his green counterpart, making for a very memorable holiday celebration.
