(WSVN) – Here’s something to make your morning more enjoyable. In this edition of Bite with Belkys, we’re making crunchy, sweet holiday treats.
material:
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
6 cups rice chex cereal
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Preparation method:
Place chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 1 minute. Remove the bowl from the microwave and stir. Return the bowl to the microwave and heat for an additional 30 seconds or until the mixture is smooth. Add vanilla extract and stir again. Pour the cereal into a large mixing bowl. Add chocolate peanut butter mixture and stir gently until cereal is evenly coated. Pour the coated cereal into a large Ziploc bag. Add powdered sugar. Seal the bag and shake until the cereal is well coated. Spread on parchment paper or waxed paper. Leave it until it cools and the chocolate hardens.
Jingle Bell Crunch can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Store in the refrigerator if your kitchen is warm.
