RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — AJ Grier and Anton Randle scored 4 minutes, 10 seconds apart in the third period as the Florida Panthers bounced back from a two-point lead and defeated Carolina on Friday. – Defeated the Hurricanes 6-3.
Randell, who also had an assist, scored the Panthers’ league-leading seventh goal of the season.
The Hurricanes’ winning streak on home ice ended at nine.
Jesper Boqvist, Sam Reinhart, Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Bennett also scored in the empty net, giving Florida its second straight win after four straight losses. Aaron Ekblad had two assists and Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 28 shots. Reinhardt has an NHL-high 18 goals and has scored in seven of his last nine games.
Seth Jarvis, Sean Walker and Eric Robinson scored for Carolina. Shayne Gostisbehere had two assists. Spencer Martin made 24 saves.
