MIAMI (AP) — Jimmy Butler scored 26 points, Tyler Herro added 23 and the Miami Heat defeated the Toronto Raptors 121-111 on Friday night.
The Heat made 21 of 54 3-pointers in the game, the third most from beyond the arc in franchise history. Miami has given up 56 points in two games.
Bam Adebayo had a triple-double for Miami with 14 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds, but his last point came after Butler airballed a jumper in the final seconds. Jaime Jaquez Jr. scored 15 points for the Heat, who closed the gap over .500 with a 9-8 record.
Scottie Barnes had a triple-double for Toronto with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. For Toronto, RJ Barrett had 25 points and Jakob Poeltl had 24 points and 10 rebounds on 10-of-11 shooting.

Raptors: Bruce Brown, who has not played yet this season after right knee surgery, continues to condition for his debut. “We’re not going to rush anything. It’s very important for him to get healthy and get his conditioning right,” Raptors coach Darko Radjakovic said.
Heat: Butler is shooting 61% over his last five games, making 35 of 57 in that stretch since returning from missing four games with a sprained ankle.

Toronto went on a 12-0 run to take a 79-77 lead. Miami immediately responded with a 19-2 run to take a 96-81 lead with 43.7 seconds left in the third quarter and never trailed again.
Main status
It was the first game in Heat history where the team used at least 10 players, all of whom made at least two 3-pointers. There were three other games in club history in which at least 10 Miami players took two threes, but not everyone who played that night did so.
