HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) – Several South Florida businesses and organizations are offering their community support this holiday season.
On Saturday morning, kids got to shop with CEOs and founders at Target on Hollywood Boulevard as part of the “Shop with a Boss” event.
Young participants were encouraged to cultivate generosity while managing their finances, spending money wisely and even choosing something special for a loved one.
“They need to be able to maintain a budget, know how much to spend, when to spend it, how to spend it, and make sure they still have money left over for something they might need another time. We know that there are,” he said. Arvon Plummer is the founder of Shop with a Boss.
Now in its seventh year, “Shop with a Boss” provided an opportunity for children and parents to work together to learn valuable lessons about budgeting and giving to the community.
